Summer 2026: completion of ongoing construction work

Construction of the Tsaranoro sewing workshop is complete. Training for the candidates selected in the spring can now begin.

In addition, Miara is funding the drilling of wells, as these communities lack access to clean water—a situation with numerous consequences, such as poor hygiene and disease (particularly among children). The third well, located in the impoverished village of Andoharena, has just been completed and secured with the enthusiastic participation of the local residents (it was dug by hand to a depth of 18 meters).

The French classes taught by Madame Lanto are bearing fruit. Several students have shared news of impressive achievements: Onja has earned her State Doctorate, Nokoloina has been hired as a teacher by the Ministry of National Education, and Tatiana has landed a job as a pastry chef. These success stories illustrate the tangible impact of the training on the students’ personal and professional futures. The classes have been a great success, and the discovery of childhood tales—such as “Peter and the Wolf” and “La Pastorale des Santons de Provence”—is particularly appreciated by both students and teachers.
